The First Taxi Drone Trial in Indonesia, Here’s The Result

The First Taxi Drone Trial in Indonesia, claimed the first drone taxi in Indonesia made by a start-up from Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, Frogs Indonesia, was tested at Gading Air Field, Playen, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. Frogs Indonesia’s Co Founder Asro Nasiri said this taxi drone is the second generation of the previous drone.

“It’s called Frogs 282, which means two passengers with eight engines, and is the second generation”, Drone manufacturing research has been conducted since 2017. Chief Technology Official (CTO) Dedi Satria Maulana said the first phase of the trial was to find a number of problems in the drone.

And the motor is strong enough to lift a vehicle, a few centimeters above the ground, said Dedi. “We need to increase the limit of the motorbike because remembering here it is possible because of the cold and slightly humid air, so the type of air is rather heavy”, said Dedi.

Dedi added, the drone air motor could not be stable. But it has been raised quite strong, Dedi added. He said he would make improvements and immediately re-test.

Nevertheless, Asro claimed to be satisfied with the results of the first phase of the trial. The first claimed passenger ride in Indonesia was a start up work from Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, Frogs Indonesia.
